Irving Oil Scholarships, Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN)

Our donation of $250,000 to Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) created the largest endowed scholarships at the university. Full-time students entering any field of study with high academic standing are eligible.
Two $6,000 scholarships are awarded annually to the general first-year student body, and one or more $3,000 scholarships are awarded to dependents of Irving Oil employees.
All candidates must be residents of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Recipients of the MUN Irving Oil Scholarships are selected by the university. To apply, please contact MUN directly at the Scholarship and Awards office.

The Primrose Scholarship, University of New Brunswick, Saint John

A $5,000 scholarship recognizing academic achievement, community involvement, and athletic leadership, the Primrose scholarship is awarded annually to undergraduates entering the University of New Brunswick's Saint John campus.
Selection for the Primrose scholarship is made by the University of New Brunswick, Saint John.

Irving Oil Outstanding Student of the Year Scholarship
|
The Irving Oil Outstanding Student of the Year was created in 1994 to acknowledge the fine accomplishments of outstanding students in the combined areas of academics, school projects and activities, team sports, spirit, and camaraderie.
The scholarship awards $3000 to graduating students from the nine local high schools in Greater Saint John, New Brunswick.
Irving Oil Outstanding Student of the Year award winners are selected by each of the participating Greater Saint John high schools.

Irving Oil Employee Dependants Scholarship Program
|
Open to dependants of Irving Oil employees who are planning to attend university or college, this scholarship program provides for a total of nine new $1500 renewable university scholarships and two new $750 renewable college scholarships each year.
Renewals of existing scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic standing. To be considered for renewal, eligible students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and submit a short renewal form.
Applications for this scholarship program are administered through Irving's human resources department.
